If you subscribed to my newsletter before August, you'll realize that I haven't sent any newsletter in September.
I'm sorry if I've made you misunderstand that you were no longer on my newsletter list. I'm shamelessly admitting that it was me who did not write any weekly newsletter.
In the last 5 weeks, I was extremely busy with my real life. Many things have happened, which caused me unable to free up my time writing my weekly newsletter.
Career Switch
In early September, my ex-supervisor from my internship contacted me. She is a senior manager now and was looking for a talent to fill in the headcount under her team in an MNC in Melaka.
So I had an interview with her and her boss, they were satisfied with my work experiences, and I managed to get an offer from HR with a 40% salary increase from my current job.
Yes, it's 40%!
I would be lying if I said I'm not excited about it. I was busy preparing all kinds of documents for my pre-onboarding, having done a medical checkup and opening a new bank account for my salary.
I was also occupied with arranging the pass down in my current company, which I'm serving short notice until the end of Oct.
Business Trip to Japan
Simultaneously, our customer from Japan has escalated to us that we need to send someone to support the software issues they're facing with our product.
After a discussion with the bosses, my manager decided to send me to Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan, where the customer site is, to resolve the issue.
It was a very sudden arrangement, but I'm glad everything went smoothly!
That is my first time visiting Japan too!
Even though it was a rushed trip for only one week, I still managed to enjoy the business trip by having the chance to explore Japan, which is one of my must-visit countries.
Now I've settled down and have my free time back, I will continue to write my newsletter starting this week.
Let us continue our journey to improve our finances and become more financially stable.
Stay tuned for my newsletter this Saturday!
